Each year I participate in the Annual Walkathon for A.D.O.P.T., the no-kill animal shelter in Naperville, IL with which I have been involved with for over six years.  This year I am participating in loving memory of my beloved Wallace, who, as most of you know, I recently had to let go after a short but courageous battle with cancer.  Wallace was a personal rescue, living in deplorable conditions when I took him in almost 11 years ago.  I shudder to think about what would have come of him if I had not gotten him into a safe and loving home.

A.D.O.P.T. does for so many animals what I was able to do for Wallace - rescue and place animals in need into safe and loving homes.  The Walkathon is our major fundraiser, and I would be so grateful if you would lend your support.  All the money raised goes directly to the care of the dogs and cats in our program - and every little bit helps.  I know times are tough now, but no amount is too small, it all helps.  Your donation is, of course, tax deductible in its entirety.
