Every year Silver Age Yoga wins a regional or national award honoring the work it does: providing FREE yoga classes to underserved seniors since 2004. Recently MetLife Foundation gave its prestigious Gold Honoree Community Champion Award to founder Frank Iszak.
Awards are great and validate what we do. But to continue doing our work WE NEED YOUR HELP! We need money to keep the work going.
Silver Age Yoga Community Outreach, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was founded by yoga teachers, Frank & Serpil Iszak. Since then over 150 yoga teachers have been certified to teach Silver Age Yoga - a specialized yoga specifically to address seniors' health concerns.
Currently over 6000 free weekly classes have been offered in California and other states at no charge to the seniors. More centers want our classes.....
BUT....there are costs involved in delivering this unique and life enhancing yoga. We do not want to pass these costs onto the seniors, many of whom are barely getting by on fixed incomes (especially with rising costs of healthcare, fuel and food).
Will you help us? The annual cost per class is $3000 which includes teacher compensation and administrative costs. Imagine, if 8000 people sent as little as $30 we will make our goal! BE ONE OF THE 8000!
