Simon Sharp was diagnosed with leukemia on August 9th, 2006, shortly after moving to Jackson from Celebration, Florida where he was very active in the Boy Scouts. His Eagle Scout project was to build a Veterans Memorial in Celelbration. Simon raised over $15,000 toward his goal before moving away. After only two days of living in Mississippi, Simon was diagnosed and began treatment at the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital, where he spent the next 15 months of his life.
The Simon Sharp Eagle Fund was designed is to give back to those that gave so much to Simon and to his family. Our mission is to raise money for causes that are helping the youth in our community and giving support to those families.
