FORM A TEAM, JOIN A TEAM or WALK INDIVIDUALLY FOR SIMON'S WALK, a 5k Walk and Run benefitting the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital and Andrew Jackson Council of Boy Scouts on Saturday, November 19th at 9 .m. at the historic Fairview Inn in Jackson.

The first annual 5K Walk and Run will be held during the Chefs and the City: A Taste of Hollywood weekend event. Several of Jackson's finest chefs, families, patients, boy scouts and community friends will join together to raise money for the event that honors Simon Sharp, a 15-year-old who courageously fought leukemia while raising money to build a veterans’ memorial, his Eagle Scout project.

Simon’s Walk showcases local celebrity chefs and food, live entertainment and a Celebrity Look-a-like contest with local celebrity judges. There is no cost for registration for Simon’s Walk, but individual donations over $25 will receive a free t-shirt. Online Registration begins August 1.

“Even if you cannot attend Simon’s Walk, you can be a ‘virtual walker’ and make a contribution, and encourage others to donate in your name,” said Peter Sharp, owner and proprietor of The Fairview Inn. For details visit www.chefsandthecity.net.

Chefs and the City is a benefit for the Simon Sharp Eagle Fund. Proceeds from the event go to the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children and the Andrew Jackson Council of the Boy Scouts of America--two causes that meant so much to Simon SharpL
