Operation Christmas Child!
Welcome to Indiana! Our state grows a lot of corn . Watch out this year there is a new crop growing and we pray it will change lives! This spring the Anderson family planted one acre of what will soon be delicious sweet corn. This is an effort to raise funds for Operation Christmas Child by selling the corn at local farmers' markets, selling in our area neighborhoods and collecting donations online through this fundraising page. It is also our desire that through this example we can demonstrate to our children and other children in our community how they can use their time, talents, and treasures to help others who are hurting.
Operation Christmas Child is a nondenominational ministry of Samaritans Purse. Since1993 they have been traveling the world delivering gift filled shoe boxes to children in over 105 different countries. The children that receive these boxes are living in desperate situations such as famine, disease, poverty, or have become victims of war. When a child receives this gift it comes also with the message of hope and the good news of God's love. For most of these children this will be the first gift they have ever received.
I am so thankful for the many blessings that has enabled this project to grow so beautifully. Since this past spring our hands and feet have not seen much rest. We praise God in this for we know He has wonderful plans that He is working through Operation Christmas Child.
Watch for our little red wagon pulling sweet corn in your central Indiana area and be on the look out for our booth "Simple Harvest for Simple Gifts" at local farmers' markets:
I want to personally thank you for your donation. You are making an eternal impact in the lives of children here and around the world. May God bless you.
Sincerely,
Monica Anderson
