I sponsor several children through Children International, and earlier this year I began providing their families with the materials they needed to start their own small businesses. It is always exciting to see the results of these donations and know that the families will be able to use them to make a better future for themselves. But this time I need your help in order to make that happen! :)
This fundraiser is for Keyly, my first sponsored child. She lives in Honduras with her parents. They live in a two-room house constructed of dirt and corrugated metal. Keyly's father is currently a daily worker, but in the hopes of improving their living conditions, the family is looking to start a small farm on the plot of land that they own. They are already using part of this land to grow corn that they can sell. As the family has experience in this sort of work, and their land is located close to a stream of water, they feel they would be successful in this business.
I am hoping to raise the funds necessary for the family to purchase the supplies needed to start their small farm. These supplies include cement, barbed wire, fertilizer, pasture seed, a grain bin, a cow and a sow. It would be amazing if we could fund this project before November 29, because that's Keyly's eleventh birthday, but no matter how long it takes, you'll win my eternal gratitude if you can help. :) Even a donation of just one dollar moves this project closer to its goal!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Thank you for helping Keyly and her family. It really means a lot to me. :)
