Special Olympics Illinois - LETR Events


We've made it simple for you to register and raise funds for Special Olympics Illinois!

  • Click the START FUNDRAISING button
  • You will then be prompted to select your event; find the appropriate event/Plunge location and choose SELECT
  • On the event overview page, click the REGISTER button
  • Under the Register Now window, enter the number you'll be registering and click register
  • Follow the online instructions to complete your registration
  • At the end of registration, you can join an existing team or create a new team
  • After registering, you can create your own personalized fundraising page
  • Send the link out to your friends, family, colleagues - anyone you think will help you reach your goal!  


Attention Team Captains!

  • Team captains should create their team at the end of the registration process
  • Once your team is created, it's easy for team members to join!


The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is the single-largest fundraising vehicle benefiting Special Olympics Illinois (SO ILL).  The annual intrastate relay and it various fundraising projects have two goals: to raise money and gain awareness for the athletes who participate in SO ILL.  The LETR has raised nearly $28 million over 27 years, while increasing awareness of SO ILL athletes and their accomplishments.

All proceeds directly benefit the more than 21,300 athletes with intellectual disabilities and nearly 13,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 with and without disabilities of Special Olympics Illinois.
