The Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is the single-largest fundraising vehicle benefiting Special Olympics Illinois (SO ILL). The annual intrastate relay and it various fundraising projects have two goals: to raise money and gain awareness for the athletes who participate in SO ILL. The LETR has raised more than $22.025 million over 25 years, while increasing awareness of SO ILL athletes and their accomplishments.
All proceeds directly benefit the nearly 21,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities and more than 6,000 Young Athletes ages 2-7 with and without disabilities of Special Olympics Illinois.
