Overview of 2014 USA Games
The Special Olympics USA Games provide a stage to showcase the abilities of Special Olympics athletes – both on and off the playing field; signature initiatives of Special Olympics such as Unified Sports®, Healthy Athletes®, Athlete Leadership Programs and Special Olympics Get Into It®; and life-transforming experiences for volunteers and spectators who participate in or view the USA Games.
In June 2014, 3500 athletes from across the US will convene in Princeton, New Jersey for the third Special Olympics USA Games. Sixteen sports will be offered, including Aquatics, Baseball, Basketball, Bocce, Bowling, Cycling, Flag Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Powerlifting, Soccer, Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, Triathlon, and Volleyball.
For the 2014 Special Olympics USA Games, Team Indiana will consist of 83 members (47 athletes, 11 Unified partners, 16 coaches, and 9 support staff). Team Indiana will compete in 9 sports (Aquatics, Basketball, Bocce, Bowling, Cycling, Flag Football, Golf, Powerlifting, and Track & Field).
