Welcome to the Special Olympics
Special Olympics Nebraka serves over 3,200 intellectually disabled children and adults in over 110 Nebraska communities. We are a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization funded entirely by private donations from foundations, businesses, civic organizations and citizens. Over one million dollars must be raised annually in Nebraska to continue providing our services. Our mission is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities. It is our goal that through participation in Special Olympics these athletes will have the chance to become useful and productive citizens who are accepted and respected in their communities. Not only do Special Olympics athletes have the opportunity to play sports and develop physical fitness, but they get to demonstrate courage, experience joy, form lasting friendships and build confidence.
We have many wonderful volunteers, supporters and athletes that are passionate about our cause and want to fundraise. Hopefully this page helps you in your fundraising efforts, whether they be for polar bear punges, the Law Enforcement Torch Run or for your Special Olympics Team. All proceeds collected through this website will benefit Special Olympics Nebraska athletes.
