The SPCA of Northern Virginia, founded in 1992, is a non-profit, all-volunteer, private organization established by local concerned citizens to rescue domestic animals from cruelty, neglect and abandonment. We receive all our funding from membership dues, donations, and fund-raising events. We are always striving to enlarge our animal rescue operations and expand our services to the community. Our voluntary Board of Directors, committee members, and volunteers are responsible for all SPCA activities. We do not have a shelter facility, and depend on foster parents to care for domestic animals until adoption.
Our organization is the only non-government agency in this region that has active Humane Investigators. This makes us unique among the many animal welfare groups in Northern Virginia.

Help End Pet Overpopulation in Northern Virginia
Every hour over 800 cats and dogs are killed in U.S. animal shelters. To decrease this number we must take action to prevent unwanted litters of puppies and kittens from being born. Spay/neuter is the most effective and humane way to end pet overpopulation.
Spay, Inc is collecting donations to spay and neuter pets of Northern Virginia's low-income residents.
$50 will spay/neuter one cat.
$100 will spay/neuter one dog.
EVERY DOLLAR COUNTS -- even $5 or $10!
Please help us meet our goal of $2500.
Click the GIVE NOW button at the top of the page to donate.
