Welcome to the fundraising website in honor of Stargate Atlantis actor David Hewlett! 

David has always made it his request that donations be made to Doctors Without Borders, rather than getting him a gift.  So it is that we have set up this web page to gather funds for the various fundraisers Hewlett's Squirrels do in 2008.

No amount is too small to make a difference.  And no one will be shown what you donate.  This fundraising effort was started by fans on David's website (www.dgeek.com).  We're busy little squirrels who want to do some good by combining many small donations.  (Big ones will work, too!)

What's up with this Squirrel thing?

Well, David has this thing for squirrels.  So one day, after remarking how chatty we all had become, he called us his little squirrels.  And, being rather nutty ourselves, we ran with it!

Shore Leave Fundraiser!

The Great Squirrel King, himself, joined in with his sister Kate Hewlett and actress Jewel Staite to help entice people to the fundraiser headed up by our own TheSprklnEmerald.   Raffle donations by Squirrels (and autographed by David, Kate and Jewel) brought people over to the table during Shore Leave.  Those Shore Leave Squirrels raised over US$1,500 in one weekend!
