It is that time of year again... I am once again raising money for Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary. Last year's event was a huge success and the 2nd Annual Fall Walk-a-Thon promises to be even bigger. Bring the kids to this family friendly event. If you can't make it, please help by sponsoring me.
About The Event!
The Grand Rapids Griffins and Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary are once again teaming up for the 2nd Annual Fall Walk-a-thon benefitting the dogs at Mackenzie’s Animal Sanctuary. The Griffins players and coaches will be participating in this event by walking the Sanctuary dogs to raise pledges to support Sanctuary’s efforts of helping more dogs in need.
We encourage and invite any and all animal lovers to attend with or without a dog to walk.
The 2nd Annual event will consist of a variety of activities including: live music, BBQ, hay rides, arts and crafts, games, contests, micro-chipping, petting zoo, demonstrations, and a marketplace featuring a variety of pet-friendly vendors.
Our goal is to raise $25,000.00 to support the efforts of Mackenzie's Animal Sanctuary, the Mid-West’s largest no-kill sanctuary dedicated to providing a
“home along the way” for dogs in need. Mackenzie’s efforts include not only
finding loving homes for rescued dogs, but also maintaining the highest standards of care for the animals during their stay, including veterinary care.
The funds raised from the Walk-A-Thon will help continue care for the resident dogs and ongoing facility expansions.
