Firstgiving offers two kinds of Nonprofit Accounts to enhance your online fundraising efforts:
Free Basic Accounts are ideal for nonprofit organizations with a handful of people who raise money who want to get started quickly with online fundraising
Branded Premium Accounts are designed for organizations with their own fundraising events, with large groups (20 or more people) of people who raise money, or who want to set up internet fundraising teams
Person−to−Person Online Fundraising Pages
Your supporters make their own online fundraising pages from your organization’s Start Page. Then they promote their support of your organization to their social networks and email address books and accept donations online. They can make as many individual fundraising pages as you like.
Automatic Email Donation Receipts
Personalized email donation acknowledgements are sent out automatically, saving you time and effort, and building a positive relationship with your online donors and supporters. Donors can use these emails as receipts for their tax records.
Online Donation Reports
All Firstgiving Account holders have access to the online reporting area, where they can view real time financial reports, donor details, and other valuable information. The reports are downloadable as Excel worksheets.
Database Integration with eTapestry
If you use the eTapestry database, your Firstgiving data synchronizes automatically with it.
Monthly Disbursement
Firstgiving sends checks in the middle of every month for the prior month’s online donations. For example, January’s donations are sent in mid-February.
Free Support for Nonprofit Staff, Fundraisers and Donors
Firstgiving’s support team is available by phone and email to help you with all your internet fundraising questions. Support is available for nonprofit organizations, personal fundraising page holders and online donors at no additional cost.
Strict Security and Privacy Policies
Firstgiving is certified for compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) for protecting the credit card details of our customers; all credit card transactions are conducted over secure connections. We have also been a member of the Better Business Bureau since 2004. Firstgiving never sells or rents client information to other companies.
Branded Premium Start Page and Personal Fundraising Pages
Add a graphic banner to your Firstgiving pages to leverage the power of your organization’s brand. When donors recognize your brand, they are more comfortable donating online to your cause.
Online Event Registration
Your supporters can register for your fundraising event right on your Firstgiving Premium Start Page. You can collect entry fees and additional information through custom questions, such as meal preference or t-shirt size. After registration, participants are encouraged to make and share their own personal online fundraising pages.
Fundraising Teams and Training Buddies
Your supporters can organize into internet fundraising teams to further challenge and inspire each other. Each team member has his or her own fundraising page with links to teammates’ pages. You can display the top teams and the total amount each team has raised online on your organization’s Premium Start Page. Fundraisers can also give a shout out to their “training buddies” at the top of their fundraising pages.
