For over 5 years now, I have been volunteering my time and talents to ASTEP's programs in Homestead, New York, and South Africa, teaching music and using the arts to empower and educate children in underserved communities.  In many ways, doing this work and sharing my time with the beautiful people in this organization has shaped who I am today.

ASTEP approaches this work with a kind of enthusiasm and compassion that I have yet to see matched and which has inspired me to overcome many of my own fears and obstacles. 

On Nov. 23rd, I will travel to South Africa for a second time as part of a team of 4 artists to teach at an orphanage (Refilwe) near Johannesburg.  I am excited to return to this beautiful country and to share my love of music with this group of children... but I need your help.
