Thank you for visiting my race page! I am participating in a 10k Run (with maybe just a bit of walking :) in August to benefit the charity you have all heard me talk about - Loving Hugs, Inc. Loving Hugs collects new and "gently used" cuddly stuffed animals to send to children in hospitals, orphanages, and refugee camps (IDP Camps) in countries that have been devastated by war, poverty, or natural disasters; to give those children something to hug close and hold onto, bringing them a small bit of comfort during such difficult times. I would love for you to join me on race day, or help Loving Hugs by sponsoring me! There are several ways you can participate:

TO SPONSOR ME: Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. The donations made through special individual web pages (such as mine) to the Littleton Rotary Foundation, a registered 501(c) (3), will be disbursed to the various non-profit organizations (such as Loving Hugs) represented at the event. Click the "SPONSOR ME NOW" button. You can make a donation securely with a credit card. If you wish to mail in a donation, please make your check payable to: Littleton Rotary Foundation, P.O. Box 1041, Littleton, CO 80120, and be sure to specify “Loving Hugs, Inc. Tribute to Giving (S. Ruth sponsor)” on your check. If you need a receipt and don't receive one, please let me know and I will be sure to get one for you.

TO JOIN ME ON RACE DAY: Sign up as a runner or walker ($25) in the 5k or 10K race; and create your individual, easy web page to raise funds from friends, contacts, family members, or co-workers to benefit Loving Hugs, Inc. by clicking the "JOIN THIS TEAM" button.

TO RAISE YOUR OWN DONATIONS BUT NOT WALK/RUN: Sign up to create your own easy web page ($25) and send it to your contacts to encourage them to be on your team or create their own team to collect donations for Loving Hugs, Inc. by clicking the "I WANT TO RAISE MONEY TOO" button.

TO SHARE INFO WITH OTHERS: Even if you cannot participate or donate at this time, please help me get the word out by sharing this page with your contacts. The race, titled the 3rd Annual Alfred Packer Cannibal 5k/10k  Run/Walk occurs on Sunday, August 16th, 2009 at the Riverfront Event Center at Bowles Ave. and Santa Fe Drive. Race begins at 8am.
