Our daughter Jessica  has Uveitis.  Our family has decided to walk for Uveitis to raise money to help find a cure.  Our hope is that Jessica, and other affected children, can grow up with healthy eyes.  To prevent serious permanent vision issues, she takes several immune suppressing medications orally and though 3-hour intravenous infusions.  Additionally, she visits a Uveitis specialist frequently to track her condition.  While these medications prevent the disease from worsening, they also compromise her immune system and make her more susceptible to other medical issues, among other side effects.  

The fighting of this disease is a daily part of our life and we want to do everything possible to help find a cure.
