When a child or teenager has a serious medical condition, everyone in the family is affected. For nearly 25 years, Starlight Starbright Children’s Foundation has dedicated itself to helping seriously ill children and their families cope with their pain, fear and isolation through entertainment, education and family activities. Starlight’s programs have been proven to distract children from their pain, help them better understand and manage their illnesses, and connect families facing similar challenges so that no one feels alone. Through a network of more than 30 offices, Starlight provides ongoing support to children, parents and siblings in all U.S. states and Canadian provinces with an array of outpatient, hospital-based and Web offerings. Hi my name is Steven and I was diagnosed with Very high risk ALL Leukemia on May of 2006 that day is something I will not forget. When I found out I had Leukemia I was in shock and I said to my self "why me" then I thought there is nothing else for me to do except try to fight the cancer, so I started my chemo and I been on chemo for the last 1 1/2 Years and thanks to my family, friends, docters, all the nurses and my social worker at the hospital I am doing good. Oh yeah I forgot "Make a wish", Leukemia Society , "Starlight Foundation" and espcially my MoM who's been there with me every step of the way since the first day "I LOVE YOU" mom.
I just wanted to give back for everything I received this is just one of my fund raising I will be doing more in the past month and years to try to help with the CANCER RESERACH until we find a cure.
