The Susan Fazio Foundation is partnering with the 2012 River Edge Run-Walk on Saturday, April 21.  To register for the run, health walk or 1 mile fun run go to www.riveredgerun.com.  For information additional information, please read below or go to our website, www.susanfaziofoundation.org.

 

We welcome your involvement and support of our efforts to raise money for melanoma research and education through Fazio Foundation's initiatives as well as the melanoma programs at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York University.  Please decide how you want to participate as a partner with us in the River Edge Run-Walk:

 

1. YOU WANT TO RAISE MONEY SPECIFICALLY IN MEMORY OR IN HONOR OF SOMEONE:  Create a fundraising page In Memory of someone who has lost his or her battle against melanoma or any other cancer OR In Honor of someone who is battling melanoma today or is a melanoma survivor.  We ask that you set a fundraising goal of a minimum of $1,000.  You can set up your fundraising page whether or not you are running or walking in the River Edge event.  For your successful efforts we will print the name of the deceased or the survivor on the back of a special Susan Fazio Foundation t-shirt which we will give to anyone donating $25 or more through this effort.  To set up your page, click on "JOIN NOW" (above) and follow instructions on this page for your In Memory of or In Honor of fundraising.  (You will need to write an appeal, i.e., why you are setting up the page, and, hopefully, include a photo.We can help in setting this up or in writing the appeal. Please request our help by emailing us at faziofoundation@earthlink.net.  Once set up, you can email everyone you know and ask them to help you memorialize or honor someone.)

 

2. YOU WANT TO RAISE MONEY ONLY AS A RUNNER OR WALKER:  If you are registered for the River Edge Run-Walk, and want to support our melanoma research and education efforts, you can set up a fundraising page and ask others to support your participation.  Click on "JOIN NOW" (above) and follow instructions.  Again, we encourage a photo and a write up to tell others why you are running or walking.  (We can help you set this up and in writing an appeal.  Contact us at faziofoundation@earthlink.net.)

 

3. YOU WANT TO MAKE A DONATION TO THE SUSAN FAZIO FOUNDATION:  No matter where you live, you can support the melanoma mission of the Foundation.  You can go to our website www.susanfaziofoundation.org and click on the “Donate” icon or send your donation to: Fazio Foundation, 685 Misty Hollow Drive, Maple Glen, PA 19002.  Or you can give to anyone who has already set up a fundraising page.
