Dear family and friends-
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
I have had the priviledge of working with Bethany Christian Services for several years. As an adoption social worker, I have enjoyed previously working with birth parents and now working with adoptive families throughout their adoption journey. God has shown me repeatedly over the years how God handpicks each child and places them with their special forever family. At Bethany Christian Services, we provide free counseling to birth parents providing them with information on all of their options. If a birth mother/birth father decide to place their child for adoption, they are provided with free Christian counseling throughout the process and after the placement. At Bethany Christian Services, we assist adoptive families with agency domestic adoptions, parental placement adoptions and international adoptions. The adoption journey can be long for our families so we provide individual support for each of our adoptive families and we have an adoptive family waiting group educational meeting every other month.
Research has shown that each agency domestic adoption costs on average $30,000- $35,000. In order to make adoption more affordable to all adoptive families, Bethany Christian Services bases their fee on a sliding scale with the lower end of the scale being significantly lower than the average cost of adoption. To continue to be able to provide free services to our birth parents from Woodstock, Virginia to all south western part of Virginia, we are having this exciting fundraising event.
