A non-profit stand-alone organization, the New Hampshire Humane Society motto “speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves” succinctly defines the mission. Funds from loyal advocates keep the doors open. A new initiative to provide spay/neuter services for anyone applying begins soon, SNAP Spay Neuter Assistance Program will make low cost sterilization available to all pets in the Lakes Region and beyond. In the meantime, support the shelter through the one day national push to alleviate over population SPAY DAY February 27th 2007. Even small donations will help underwrite this initiative.
Thanks for visiting my TimberMan Sprint - New Hampshire Humane Society fundraising page.
For the past few years many of you have supported me at the NH Humane Society's annual Woofstock fundraising event. This year I am fundraising for NHHS as a participant in the TimberMan Sprint event instead.
What is the TimberMan Sprint? It's a fun-filled event consisting of a 1/3 mile swim, a 15-mile bike ride, and a 3-mile run. Doesn't sound SO hard...unless you can't swim! Endless thanks to Eleanor for helping me get from total panic (I am not exagerrating) to a reasonable comfort level in the water. At this point I'm confident I will be the slowest swimmer in the history of the event, but I think I can finish!
As Chair of the Board for the NH Humane Society, I appreciate the support the organizers of this event have provided our organization. I'm very proud of the work we do at NHHS - our staff and volunteers work tirelessly to ensure that the animals that pass through our doors are treated with care and are adopted to wonderful homes.
I hope you will support us as well - whether it's in a donation of a few dollars or in passing this email on to others! Many of you have already supported NHHS this year through our wine raffle, Designer Showhouse, or other events - thank you!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
PS - current dog count = 5 + an occasional foster or winter visitor; cat count = 2; fish = 3. I'll continue to pester Andy for more...
