Tom will be participating in his first fun run/walk. He is so excited! And we are so excited to have him back in our lives!

On August 16th we will be walking the 5K portion of the Run for Friendship.  This is a benefit for The Friendship Club. You can't see it in the photo, but Tom is in a wheelchair.

The Friendship Club helps disadvantaged and underserved girls in Nevada County with a year-round program of after school tutoring, one-on-one mentoring, cultural and college field trips, peer support, community service opportunities, and a full summer enrichment program.  We give the girls a safe and nurturing place to be themselves.  One of our recent graduates called the Club her "paradise".

Our goal is to raise $2,000, but if we could reach beyond that to $5,300 - the total annual cost for all programs for each girl - we would be forever grateful and beyond pleased with ourselves!
