The Polar Plunge Team would like to thank all of you who donated to our plunge. We really lucked out with the weather. After a dreary, cold day on Friday (we even had snow), it was an absolutely beautiful day Saturday.
This is Aberdeen's 3rd annual Polar Plunge. This is Special Olympic's single largest fund raising event for the year and it helps support the Aberdeen Area Special Olympic Athletes. This event raised $11,000 this year with 40-1/2 plungers plunging into Wylie Lake. The 1/2 plunger was a dog in which his owner donated his fee to plunge. With your generous donations Hub City, once again, was the company that raised the most funds with a total of $1,870.
