G'day mates! It's me Bindi. The 2009 Vanderburgh Humane Society Fido Walk and Fun Fest is just around the corner. I'm back again this year asking for your support.
Many of you probably remember the story of my life changing rescue from Dubois County in November 2007. Well, I've since been in my furever home for a year now and I have to tell you it's an amazing thing. I've gotten to dress up for my first Halloween, taste my first Thanksgiving turkey, see my first Christmas tree and ring in a new year safe and sound. None of this would have been possible if it weren't for the amazing lifesavers at the Vanderburgh Humane Society.
This year, I'm not alone in asking for your support. My new little brother, Mowgli, joined us just this summer. And wouldn't you know, he's from Dubois County too. He got his start as a stray and when his time was up at the local animal control, he was brought to the VHS in hopes of finding a furever home. Who knew that he would find his furever home with a VHS staff member? This year I get to share all of these special experiences with Mowgli. I just hope he doesn't pull the whole Thanksgiving turkey off the table. He's a big puppy.
Along with our mom, we often find it hard to express our graditude to the lifesavers at the VHS. Mowgli and I might not be here if it weren't for an amazing group of people. In order for the VHS to continue helping animals like us, they need your help and support. This is a such a great way to give back and support animals in need. Mowgli and I thought this would be a great way to say thank you to our lifesavers and help other animals. Won't you please support the lifesavers at the Vanderburgh Humane Society? Last year we did raised quite a bit. We thought we'd shoot a little higher this year and set a goal of $1000. Won't you please help us reach that goal. By helping us, you are helping other animals in need. Thanks so much!!
Love,
Bindi and Mowgli
