Help TAILS Help an Innocent Pet
Become a TAILS Guardian Angel today!
At TAILS Humane Society, we never know when we'll be called upon to help an animal who is ill or injured and/or abused. Medical bills soar into the thousands to restore a pet to health and find them a Forever Home. When you become a Guardian Angel by donating to this cause, you'll be helping pets like Sam.
Sam is a purebred Norwegian Elkhound who was chained at a vacant farmstead. He braved the frozen winters, rain and heat all on his own. A neighbor kindly fed him twice daily. When Sam's eye became infected, TAILS Humane Investigator was called. She spoke with Sam's owners who relinquished him to TAILS. Sam was rushed to Prairie View Animal Hospital where his eye was removed. After recovering in a foster home, a healthy Sam was at TAILS for a day when his adoptive family came to TAILS and fell in love with him. You can read their story and see photos of Sam in his Forever Home on TAILS website, www.tailshumanesociety.org under the link Your TAILS Tales.
The Guardian Angel Program was created to allow TAILS to continue to help animals like Sam. We need to raise funds now so we can help the next pet.
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support our fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support -- and please forward this to anyone you think might want to be a Guardian Angel and donate too!
On this page, I will be updating you about pets who are helped by your donation.
6-25-09 Abby, a 4-year old chocolate Lab, had exploratory surgery and now recovering in a foster home. Her veterinary bills are extremely high but her life is worth it. She's beginning to eat now and wags her tail with happiness when her foster mom is with her. Once Abby is well and off antibiotics, she'll be available for adoption. Thank you for helping TAILS to help Abby.
