Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for children with Cockayne Syndrome and their families!!
My name is Natasha Belston and I am a very happy little girl that suffers from a rare genetic condition that leaves me unable to do many things that you can do. My condition is classified as a type of dwarfism with mild to severe retardation, I can only be in the sun for a little bit or I will sunburn, I age very fast, also known as progeria, and they say that I do not see or hear well at all. I do wear contacts to help with my vision, but do not wear hearing aids. I am unable to walk, talk, crawl, or even sit up on my own right now and I am 15 months old!! They also say that our average life span for children with my syndrome is only 4-7 years. Although I have many complex medical issues in my life, I always smile and enjoy spending lots of time on the floor.
