Since 1985, The Ed Fund has worked side-by-side with the private sector to direct resources where they are needed most in Miami-Dade’s public schools. The Ed Fund’s first program awarded mini-grants to classroom teachers. Today, The Ed Fund runs 15 programs, ranging from Teacher Mini-Grants to large scale school improvement initiatives. These programs benefit all of the 370+ schools, 20,000+ teachers and 360,000+ students and families in Miami Dade County.

| My personal message: |
Thank you for your commitment to teachers and student success! Please show your support and donate now to the Teach-A-Thon.
The Teach-A-Thon, now in its third year, is an awareness campaign about the importance of teachers and current challenges facing teachers. The Education Fund, along with business professionals are working to inform the public about the challenges facing teachers today and the critical impact which teachers have on student achievement.
Did you know – 20% of new teachers leave the profession within the first three years of teaching and 9 % of all new teachers won’t make it past the end of the first year. (The National Center for Education Statistics).
How do we raise awareness? We invite the public to walk in the shoes of a teacher for a day – we have more than 350 business professionals participating from 46 companies!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution and show support of teachers and the teaching profession through the Teach-A-Thon. The money you donate will benefit all participating classrooms (books, field trips, supplies, etc.) and it will support the Education Fund’s teacher support initiatives.
ON behalf of the 22,000+ public school teachers in Miami-Dade County, thank you for your support—and don’t forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too
