The Education Fund provides private sector leadership and support for innovation in public education by designing and implementing initiatives that involve the entire community in developing its schools and bringing excellence to the education process. Established as an independent non-profit organization in 1985 with a one-time seed grant from the Ford Foundation, The Education Fund has grown from developing a single program that awarded small grants to teachers to one that has initiated over a dozen programs that build momentum for innovation for all 340,000+ students and 22,000+ teachers in 390+ schools in Miami-Dade County. Our goal is to maximize every child's potential and to ensure that all children graduate and have every opportunity for success, which will guarantee the health of our community's economic and civic future.

| My personal message: |
Thank you for your commitment to teachers and student success! Please show your support and donate now to the Teach-A-Thon.
The Teach-A-Thon, now in its third year, is an awareness campaign about the importance of teachers and current challenges facing teachers. The Education Fund, along with business professionals are working to inform the public about the challenges facing teachers today and the critical impact which teachers have on student achievement.
Did you know – 20% of new teachers leave the profession within the first three years of teaching and 9 % of all new teachers won’t make it past the end of the first year. (The National Center for Education Statistics).
How do we raise awareness? We invite the public to walk in the shoes of a teacher for a day – we have more than 350 business professionals participating from 46 companies!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution and show support of teachers and the teaching profession through the Teach-A-Thon. The money you donate will benefit all participating classrooms (books, field trips, supplies, etc.) and it will support the Education Fund’s teacher support initiatives.
ON behalf of the 22,000+ public school teachers in Miami-Dade County, thank you for your support—and don’t forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too
