Myself, Deputy Chief Antonio Williams from the Department of the Army Police, Directorate of Emergency Services and Officer Patricia Doronila of the Honolulu Police Department will be sitting on top of scaffoldings at Hawaii Kai Safeway for three days (September 3-5) to benefit Special Olympics Hawaii's (SOHI) annual "Cop on Top" event.  "Cop on Top" is one of SOHI's signature fundraisers with Safeway in which law enforcement officers spend three days eating, sleeping and passing the time atop very high scaffolding.  The Hawaii Kai Safeway goal is to raise at least $15,000.  This is the third time that these two different agencies have joined forces for "Cop on Top".  This website will allow both of us to seek donations from anyone who will not be able to actively participate in the three day event.  The Hawaii Kai Safeway is located at 377 Keahole Street, Honolulu, Hawaii 96825.

The mission of Special Olympics Hawaii is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities or a closely related developmental disability, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

      Various federal/state agenices and college programs

Saturday, September 5th from 10am - 2pm: "Dunk a Cop" in our dunk
         booth, and enjoy balloon twisting/animals by Douglas Odani and
         shaved ice & popcorn.
