We are pleased to announce that this year's goal is $5000. Hopefully we will surpass that by a landslide as we have in the past! Last year we raised over $6500 and the money has gone towards purchasing a brand new Television and a new Nintendo Wii system. We also have been able to attend amazing community trips such as, horseback riding, pawsox games, Worcester Tornado games, Patriots Museaum, Boston Museum of Science, and Plymouth Plantation. The funds have also been used to host our annual appreciation BBQ and various other BBQ's throughout the summer. We are looking forward to another amazing year of fun!
This year we are looking to use the funds to construct a backyard patio with a garden. The patio would be accesable to all individuals supported at the program with picnic tables and shade umbrellas. We also are looking to have a nice place to put the grill. The garden we plan to use as a place of relaxation, education, skill building, and also a chance to give back to the community that so graciously gives to us. The food grown in the garden would be donated to a local food pantry and local senior centers.
