I married into Special Olympics and the Polar Plunge.  After we became the "adopted" family for our friend Max, who has Down Syndrome.  I truely began to understand why Special Olympics is so important to the athletes it serves. 

I know times are tight but they are even tighter for people with disabilities.  They are the first ones to lose their jobs and services as budgets are cut.  Special Olympics provides them with so many opportunities at no cost.  Please consider giving something even if it is a dollar.

Your donation will also assist Special Olympics Virginia in reaching our total fundraising goal of $1 million dollars. That's 1 great reason for you to donate and 999,999 reasons for me to jump in the Atlantic Ocean in the height of winter!
