My personal message:

Autism is a neurobiological condition that affects a persons ability to communicate and interact with others. It is a Pervasive Developmental Disorder(PDD)that effects boys four times more often that girls. It is  "spectrum disorder" that effects individuals differently and to varying degrees of severity. Although each individual with autism improves in fuctioning overtime, unfortuately children do not "grow" out of autism. It is a lifelong disability.

Your contributions will support the Chapter operations and programs benefiting the Jacksonville Community. It has benefited our family so much to be part of an orginization that has offered us so much support and hope through our never-ending journey through autism.

It is devistating to have autism affect your child but without autism in our lives we would never have met so many wonderful, caring people. We know without your help and support in our everyday lives Jack would not have made the progress he has. And we are eternally greatful to each of you for being so supportive.

Words just arent enough to express our gratitude.
