THE CAUSE
The TEARS Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that compassionately assists newly bereaved families with their baby’s funeral expenses and with ongoing emotional support. The “Walk & Rock” event is a time for our community to gather, to walk and to rock, and lift up the families in our local communities who have been affected by the loss of a child.
THE EVENT
The TEARS Foundation is offering an exciting opportunity for the community to become involved with a growing and inspiring event. “Walk & Rock” is the signature fundraising event for TEARS. This annual event allows registered walkers to “walk” in honor of a child, or simply in support of others. Each team of walkers will be registered for shifts to “rock” in the rocking chairs placed at the event site. Rocking chairs signify the heart of the walk, which is to raise funds for families who have lost a baby and are in need of funeral assistance and emotional support services.
HOW IT WORKS
FORM A TEAM: Form a team with your family members, friends, & co-workers to walk in memory of a child you wish to honor or walk in support of families in our community. Your team members will each receive a T-Shirt at the event.
CORPORATE TEAMS: Get your company and employees involved by forming a corporate team. It’s a great way to give back and make an impact right here in our community.
REGISTRATION: Registration is $10 per person. Our goal is for each walker to raise $200 through sponsorship. Sign up online today!
SPONSORSHIP: Each person walking must register either online or by sending in a registration form. Walkers can ask their friends, neighbors, and others to sponsor them to "Walk & Rock". Donations are all tax-deductible. Checks should be made to The TEARS Foundation.
REASONS TO WALK & ROCK: When you walk, you give hope and support to families in our community who have lost a baby. The money raised will lift a financial and emotional burden from newly bereaved parents by supporting programs through The TEARS Foundation right in your own community!
