The Rock & Walk

What is the Rock & Walk? The heart of the walk is to let bereaved families know they are not alone, raise funds to support these families and build community awareness about pregnancy and infant loss. Individuals form teams and collect pledges to walk on the path and to “rock” in rocking chairs.

Inspire HOPE:  Families who have lost a child are invited to walk the first lap at the event allowing them to honor their child. As  the community joins, families are reminded that while we walk together, we can find hope.

HONOR a child: “Rock” in rocking chairs which are placed at the event and symbolize why we are there - supporting families who have lost a baby. “Walk” in honor of a child around a path lined with hand crafted memorial butterflies, each with a name of a child loved and honored.

CELEBRATE a life:  Come out to a fun, family event to  enjoy great food, beautiful music, and experience an uplifting butterfly release.

REGISTER: Early-bird registration is only $5 for those who register before May 21st, 2013. After this time registration will be $10. Children 12 & under receive free admittance. T-Shirt order deadline has been EXTENDED to May 26th, 2013 to give you an opportunity to register at our take-over at Great Bay on Route 50 in Ballston Spa on May 24th. $10 off your  registration with personalized shirt that night! Be entered to win a Great Bay or Coccadotts gift card. Bring your family, friends, and team members and raise money for New York TEARS.

Please choose the registration package that best suits your needs.  Non-personalized shirts will be available for purchase at the event, while supplies last. Children 12 & under receive free admittance however, if they would like a personalized shirt, please complete a child's shirt order for your child.

FORM A TEAM: Gather your  family members, friends, and co-workers to walk in memory of a child you wish to honor or walk in support of families in our community. Purchase Rock & Walk t-shirts for your team or make your own shirts to wear in honor of a child.

FUNDRAISE:  Each dollar raised goes to help bereaved families in your community after the loss of a child. Funeral assistance, emotional support, and other programs are offered because of your fundraising efforts.
