1 CAUSE Did you know that the US teen pregnancy rate is over 5X that The Netherlands, 4X that of Germany and 3X that of France? Were you aware that a recent CDC study found that 1 in 4 adolescent girls is infected with at least one sexually transmitted infection?
If these numbers are as shocking to you as they are to us, please join the local teens and members of the community in TEEN FUTURES 143 campaign. TEEN FUTURES has partnered with the Pasadena Marathon to walk, run or bike to raise much needed funds for at risk Pasadena Area teens. TEEN FUTURES is a non-profit youth development organization working with Pasadena area high schools and emancipated foster youth. Since 1996, we have served over 4,500 teens! Our mission is youth empowerment through postponement of parenthood while expanding access to opportunities. We are dedicated to inspiring teens to make healthy choices for their lives. We encourage deferred parenthood and work to empower them to make decisions which enhance their future; in addition we promote sexual responsibility, education, career planning, community service, emotional well-being and a healthy emerging adulthood. TEEN FUTURES presents life coaching for teens :-)
