On a typical Tuesday night, the waiting area at Common Ground Sanctuary's administrative building is overflowing with anxious people waiting for legal advice. One by one, they are seen by volunteer attorneys who carefully review their case and give them advice on how to respond. The Common Ground Sanctuary Legal Clinic is open to anyone FREE OF CHARGE. More than 50% of those served through the Legal Clinic are living at or below the poverty level and have no where else to turn.

While our volunteer attorneys do not actually represent clients in court, they offer information, referrals, help our clients to complete critical paperwork and devise plans of action.

Unfortunately, funding for the Legal Clinic will be discontinued in June. Without proper funding, services will be drastically reduced, or worse, closed altogether.

We need to raise $50,000 over the course of the next 8 months to keep the Legal Clinic open. My goal is to raise $5,000 of it. With your help I can reach that goal. Every little bit helps.
