Thank you, Donors!  You have supported today's families, and now we're seeing great results!

The Volunteer Family is serving an increasing number of youth, families, and charities every year.

As a nation, we have made great strides over the past several decades in the areas of information, technology, and communication. But at what societal cost? Many believe that a shift in attitudes is taking place among today’s youth, who are becoming increasingly isolated from their neighbors, their community, and their world in today’s “ipod culture."

But it doesn't have to be their way.  Never has our sense of community been more important.  We can teach our children to give back - to their friends, to their neighbors, and to those in need.  Just think about it.  This simple act could have a ripple effect for generations to come!

Families come in many shapes and forms, but there is one thing that is certain: volunteering together will enable us to feel more fulfilled, unite our communities, and strengthen our world now and in the future.

This past year, The Volunteer Family started an exciting new program called Future Philanthropists, which entrusts youth to give away real money to charitable organizations. The Future Philanthropists program educates young people about the needs within their own communities, their role as active citizens, and the meaning of giving back. 
 
The vision of The Volunteer Family is to give today’s youth the knowledge, skills, and motivation to become caring, thoughtful, and altruistic adults who will individually and collectively build a better world. Help us achieve this vision with your contribution.  Your donation will go directly into enabling families and youth to learn to help others, while at the same time benefiting society and each of our communities.
 
  • $35: Teach one child to volunteer in his or her community
  • $70: Help two families find a volunteer opportunity
  •  $200: Organize a volunteer event for 25 families
  •  $1,500: Manage a Future Philanthropist program in a local school
