Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts.
Currently we are planning our Earth Day event for 2009. We are planning:
- a remote kayak trip down the Sixaola River on the Border of Costa Rica and Panama. This is an area that has received very little international interest for runoff that may be caused by some of the banana plantations in the region.
- A rapid biodiversity assessment of Hitoy Cerere Biological Reserve to determine the importance of the area for endemic and endgangered species
- A cultural tour of Kachabri, a local indigenous village deep in the Jungle.
- A benefit concert in San Jose on Earth Day (April 22nd, 2009)
- Uploading of our scientific data for use by schools worldwide
We are asking you to take part in sponsoring this event in our Internationally Advertised Earth Day event. Your donation is so very important to enable us to purchase the needed water collection equipment and arrange transport to and from our starting point.
We have been lucky enough to receive close to $5000 (USD) worth of testing equipment from Hach.com, please check their site out as well. Hach is our Title Sponsor for this event.
With local universities involved, as well as international Eco-tourists, this event is sure to have the ability to make a large impact on Earth Day 2009!.
Please take a look at our website (Http://TwearthDay.org) (Http://GreenJungle.org) for more information on our Conservation Through Responsible Commercialization project.
If you have any questions, please feel free to email me personally at Tom@GreenJungle.org or give us a call at (352)505-2966.
Many thanks for your support -- and don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!
