My personal message:

Welcome to our NYC Marathon for National Stroke Association first giving site! We're excited about this new adventure and thrilled to share it with you!

We are putting one foot in front of the other (hopefully faster than a walk!) for 26.2 miles in an effort to raise awareness of stroke. We've learned a lot about stroke from our dad/granddad Vic, who suffered a massive stroke in '06. His daily courage and determination as a survivor are a real inspiration, and we want to honor him by going the distance and also raising funds for the National Stroke Association.

Stroke is a leading cause of death and adult disability in the U.S. though you seldom hear about it. We're embarking on this crazy journey of marathon training to raise funds and awareness for stroke & to honor one of our heroes...Vic! We invite you to come along on this journey with us!

Donations of ANY size are greatly appreciated and will make a difference to so many like our dad/granddad who live daily with the effects of stroke.
