African American youth are at a crossroads. Many of them see violence as a way of life and have no hope for their future. We reach out to those youth and open their minds and hearts to another possibility, a future where they are safe, supported, and successful. Through two programs The Debutante & Esquire Boot Camp and Tau Omega Kappa Youth Social Organization, we produce ladies and gentlemen who will make a positive impact in their community, live a life of purpose, and fulfill their dreams. As a special project of the Austin People’s Action Center, and by working with a variety of community members and volunteers, we teach youth about financial planning, health and fitness, social graces, career planning, stress management, and conflict resolution and create positive powerful achievers.
Transformed Teens programs make a difference in the lives of teens and in turn improves the community at large. As a result of their participation in the Debutante & Esquire Boot Camp and Tau Omega Kappa, these teens: have a higher likelihood to receive post-secondary education in fields they are passionate about, relate to one another and other people in a civilized respectful manner, and understand that anything is possible if they work hard and stay focused.

Your financial support of this organization allows us to hire the staff to run our programs and purchase the supplies needed to produce the Transformed Teens programs.
