Dear Friends and family, My brother, Alec, wants to earn money for Special Olympics Vermont because he loves sports and wants others to be able to do sports also. He set up a bike-a-thon to raise money for Special Olympics. I am going to bike between June 1st and July 15th and keep track of my miles. People can help me by sponsoring me a certain amount of money per mile, or by making a donation to me right here on my fundraising page!
The mission of Special Olympics Vermont is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-style events for children and adults with cognitive disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in the sharing of gifts, skills and friendships with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. You can help me support the athletes of SOVT by contributing to my fundraising efforts and your gift is tax-deductible. One dollar or one hundred - anything brings me one step closer to my goal! Before every competition, the Special Olympics Vermont athletes recite the following Oath: "Let me win, but if I cannot win, let me be brave in the attempt." Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting my efforts. Sincerely, Trev
