We are reaching .out through this website to our friends, family, and fans to join us in taking aim at an incurable and hereditary disease I have, Huntington's disease.  I hope that you will consider joining our fight and will help me raise awareness of HD as well as research and support dollars to make this the last generation to have to deal with it.  You can help by either making a pledge here or by going to the events section of the HDSA website (http://www.hdsa.org/events/) and registering on line to tee off for a cure. You can even do both.

 We'll be teeing off at 1pm on Friday afternoon, September 25th at the Hermitage Golf Course (President's Reserve).  We promise you another great afternoon and evening of fun.  Besides playing on one of the most highly rated golf courses in Nashville, you will receive two meals,refreshments out on the course,a door prize,

a goody bag, and welcoming gifts.  After the round,there will be music, a great silent auction, and a raffle. Two Titan cheerleaders willl greet you at the registeration desk and we will have another surprise guest or two.  Last year 72 golfers joined us and we are hoping for 100 this year!

So why do I fundraise for HDSA when I am not really much of a golfer? I have three children who each has a 50-50 chance of inheriting the flawed Huntington's gene and developing the disease.  While I am not so much afraid for me, I worry about them seeing me slowly go downhill and wondering/worrying if they are getting a preview  of their own futures. I watched my uncle lose the ability to walk, talk and care for himself before he died.  I am also watching my Mom as she battles with it.  So far, I have been lucky to still be able to play music and follow my dreams and I do feel blessed.  I want to help HDSA create awareness and raise money for the cure.  That's why I have become a national spokesman for the cause.

I know that the economy is really tough right now but the answers are within reach of the doctors and researchers if we can just increase funding to them.  Last year you were so generous and just awesome.  You donated way over $5,000 to help us. Will you help Lisa and me reach our goal of $10,000 in pledges  this year??
