Children's Hospital is Louisiana's only full-service hospital exclusively for children, offering a full range of inpatient and outpatient care. A not-for-profit facility, it is governed by an independent board of trustees made up of community volunteers. The hospital has no stockholders and no dividends to pay. Revenue generated by the hospital is used to operate the hospital and to expand and advance services.

The hospital is also the home of The Parenting Center - the area's first and leading education and support outreach program for parents.
