Hi everyone...I'm Tyler...and I am 13 years old.  I love playing sports, video games, girls, and hanging out with my friends.  Unfortunately, life has thrown a curveball at me, but I am looking forward to the day that I am "back to normal."

In December of 2008, I was diagnosed with Polyarticular Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis.  Two months later, I was also diagnosed with Anterior Uveitis.  In July of this year I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.  While I don't have Lupus, I believe strongly that if we all work together, we can find a cure for this disease.  My life has changed a lot since being diagnosed with my diseases, and even though I get frustrated and think that life isn't fair sometimes, I know that I CAN make a difference!!

I am choosing to raise money for Lupus because my mom works for the Lupus Alliance of America (Michigan/Indiana Affiliate), and she is a passionate believer that someday a cure will be found for this disease.  She makes me believe that great things can happen when people work together.  This is my way of letting my mom know that I believe in the work that she is doing, and the passion that she has for the people that she helps.  Without the support of her and my dad, I wouldn't be able to deal with my own illnesses, so this is kind of like my tribute to them.
