Dear Family & Friends,
I hope this email finds you in good health and even better spirits.
As you know, I am in the first year of my MBA program at
Babson
College in
Wellsley, MA (www.babson.edu). Many people ask why I decided to attend school in
Boston , especially since it requires me to travel once per month. My answer… it offers an educational opportunity of a lifetime! Not only has Babson been ranked #1 Entrepreneurship MBA by US Weekly and World Reports for 10 consecutive years, but it also gives students the opportunity to learn while helping others – which brings me to the purpose of this email.
Babson Global Outreach through Entrepreneurship (BGOE) 501 (c)(3) is a non-profit that instills college students, alumni and faculty with a greater philanthropic desire to empower entrepreneurs in developing countries with the education and resources to build sustainable businesses.
In January (4th – 18th), we will take a trip to Kampala and Mityana, Uganda. We will work with local business owners to improve efficiencies and maximize BGOE’s ability to build healthy communities for traditionally under-represented groups.
The total cost of this trip is $2500 per student. In order to make this opportunity a reality for me, I am asking 100 people (friends and family that have encouraged me over the years) to consider donating $25 each. The donation is tax deductible (Tax ID: 042103544) and all checks are be made payable to “Babson College (BGOE)”. If it is more convenient for you to donate online, I have set up the attached webpage*: http://www.firstgiving.com/uganda (*please note there is a transaction fee of 7.35% through this website).
I sincerely appreciate your support. Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to hearing back from you soon.
Also, I understand if you are not able to donate at this time and ask that you please pray for me and the others that will be making this voyage.
Your Friend, Minea
