American Friends of UNRWA (AFU) and KinderUSA invite you to be a champion to the children of Gaza by signing up for the Gaza Summer Games Solidarity 5K Walk/Run in Washington, DC.

What are the Gaza Summer Games?

Every year The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees holds the Gaza Summer Games, a 6-week summer recreational and educational program organized for the children of Gaza. At Summer Games, over 250,000 children receive daily meals and physiological relief while participating in art, theater, sports, beach games and music, in summer camps across the Gaza Strip.

The 2012 Gaza Summer Games Solidarity 5K Walk/Run

To support this vital UNRWA program, American Friends of UNRWA and KinderUSA are holding the first ever Gaza Summer Games Solidarity 5K Walk/Run to take place on June 9, 2012 at Rock Creek Park in Washington, DC.

Funds raised by the Solidarity 5K will go to UNRWA to directly benefit the Gaza Summer Games.

• Register to run or race walk in the Solidarity 5K.
• Create your own personal fundraising page through FirstGiving to raise money for the cause.
• Share this event with your friends and followers on Facebook and Twitter.
• Donate to the Solidarity 5K. All funds go directly to the Gaza Summer Games.
