2014 North Carolina Chapter Walk to End Violence Against Women and Girls
Please walk with the North Carolina Chapter (Wilmington Region) of USNC-UN Women to help Prevent Violence Against Women and Girls!
The USNC-UN Women walks are an annual event that take place across the U.S. to increase awareness of the global issue of gender based violence and raise funds for UN Women programs to prevent it.
This year’s Wilmington walk is special because it's in memory of Yolanda Norwood, a passionate and dedicated volunteer who organized the chapter walks from 2010 through 2012.
The walk festivities will kickoff at noon, April 27, with welcome and remarks at 1:00, and the ribbon cutting and walk at 1:30. Bring your friends!
Online registration is $15 for adults, $10 for students and children over 12, and free for children under 12 (without a T-shirt). All walkers registered by April 10 will receive a walk T-shirt.
