Since 1913, United Way of Greater Cleveland has been a worldwide model for excellence in charitable fund raising and investment. Our volunteer review process, whereby community members provide oversight to investment and operations, ensures that donor dollars are used wisely and that United Way programs and fiscal management meet the highest standards. United Way is also proud of our Vision Councils, where volunteers from the public, private, and non-profit sectors come together to develop collaborative solutions to community issues. United Way of Greater Cleveland remains true to its founding spirit, supporting the local community through a network of more than 130 partner agencies to deliver a safety net of local health and human care programs and services. United Way of Greater Cleveland is also proud to operate 211/First Call for Help, where people can get immediate help with needs ranging from childcare to senior support. 211 provides fast information and personalized assistance to anyone with HHS needs. Also, United Way provides many direct services to the local non-profit community, to enable these organzations to focus on their mission. We do payroll, accounting, human resources, insurance, and information technology consulting for over 100 agencies. We also house struggling non-profits to give them the time and space they need to operate while solidifying their operations.
