  The Everest Challenge (206 miles with 29,035 ft of cumulative elevation) on September 23-24, 2006 (www.everestchallenge.com) kicks off the 1st Annual MITSS Cycling Challenge! MITSS (www.mitss.org) was founded in 2002 to create awareness around the emotional impact that adverse medical events have on patients, families and care providers, and to develop services in partnership with healthcare providers to address the critical need for transparent communication and emotional support around these events. MITSS has achieved national recognition for its collaborative initiatives and continues to expand in its role in advancing patient safety and service within our healthcare system. It is your contribution that makes this work possible and I am very thankful for your support!
