- Dog and cat food & approved veterinary clinic services
People who meet eligibility requirements (i.e. unemployment statement, food stamp eligibility, or foreclosure notice) can receive pet food and limited veterinary services. During this time of economic crisis, the Virginia Beach SPCA is partnering with the Farm Fresh Give a Bag program and our donors to provide bags of dog and cat food to families struggling to feed their families and their pets. The Virginia Beach SPCA Clinic will waive office visit fees for eligible families if their animal becomes ill or injured and needs care. For more information or to be considered for the H.O.P.E program, contact Amy McNally at 757-427-0070 Ext. 13..
How can you help? Form a team on firstgiving.com/vbspca and raise funds! Or, consider buying a bag of pre-packaged dog or cat food from select Virginia Beach Farm Fresh "Give a Bag" locations or other local merchant and bring it to the Virginia Beach SPCA. In addition, you can donate to the HOPE medical fund by sending a check to VBSPCA, 3040 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23453 or make a credit card donation to 757-427-6387.
About the Virginia Beach SPCA
The Virginia Beach SPCA takes in and cares for nearly 5,000 homeless domestic animals each year. It is the mission of the Virginia Beach SPCA to create a more humane and responsible community by decreasing the community’s tolerance for cruelty while increasing its capacity for compassion. In keeping with our mission, the Virginia Beach SPCA is happy to offer the H.O.P.E program to give back to those in need. Thank you for your support!
