My personal message:

Last year Joey and I signed up to do this walk in honor of my dad and in support of Vince who was fighting so hard to beat this terrible disease. On May 5th, 2007 Joey and I along with some close family and friends showed up in San Francisco to take part in this walk. Joey’s brother Vince was very sick at the time but we decided that it was important to go anyway.

Just shortly after we arrived Joey got a call from his family that Vince had passed. He fell to the ground and laid there crying for a long time. Once he was ready, he came to his feet and decided that he still wanted to walk for his brother. It turned out to be a very healing thing for him and all of us there. To be surrounded by thousands of people who have all been affected by brain tumors in one was or another was very powerful.

So this year on May 3rd 2008 two days before the anniversary of Vince’s passing we are going to go up to San Francisco again, to take part in this cause, to show support for my father and to honor the memory of an amazing man who we all desperately wish was here to walk it with us.

Vince you will always be missed, always be remembered, and always be loved. We will continue to honor you and your memory in ways that make a difference, and in that effort your passing shall no longer be a loss, but a gift to others.

Last year, through your generous donations, we raised over $6,000 for this cause (http://www.firstgiving.com/vincewolfe). The love and support we received though this site were immeasurable. Please help us to make a difference again this year. It would be so awesome for those of you who are able to join us for the Walk and Community Day to show your support for Vince and my dad. It costs $50 per adult to enter, it's kind of expensive, but it's a tax-deductible donation and it's a great cause.

Obviously, if you can't make it to the walk, any donation would be greatly appreciated. And if you are not in a position to donate at this time your prayers for the family as the once year mark approaches would also be greatly appreciated. Teresa and the boys are doing well; they are fighters and have done an amazing job coping with the loss of their husband and father. But this time of year is becoming increasing difficult for everyone. Please remember them in your prayers and we will do the same for you.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to make a contribution to our fundraising efforts.
Please help support the National Brain Tumor Foundation by making a donation through my fundraising page by clicking the SPONSOR US NOW button below. BUT also know that we do not have a goal that we have to meet, although raising money for this Foundation would be awesome we are more interested in getting a bunch of us out there walking to show our support for Vince and my dad as well as to draw attention to the cause.
You can register for the walk online.
Visit http://www.firstgiving.com/AngelAdventure and click the GET STARTED button. Once registered, you can also set up your own Personal Fundraising Page.

Thanks again for supporting our fundraising efforts and helping to make a difference in the fight against brain tumors! Don't forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too! Thanks so much for your love and support.

Kendra & Joey Wolfe

NOTE: Making a donation to our page is not the same as registering to attend the walk.
