Calling all Wakeman kids, staff, coaches,

parents and alumni!  

On Saturday February 11, 2012 you can help raise money for your favorite Wakeman program by taking part in the Club's first annual "Freezin' for a Reason" event!  

"Freezin' for a Reason" is a terrific event where people support your willingness to plunge into the chilly waters of LI Sound by making an online donation to Wakeman.  Funds raised will benefit everything that Wakeman does for nearly 4,000 members!

And fear not ......the dip into the water is quick...we go in at 1:00 and only the bravest are still in the water at 1:01....it is the shortest fund raising event in history!

In order to plunge and attend the Post-Plunge Party you must raise at least $100 if you are a Wakeman member and $200 if you are an adult.

Incentive prizes will be awarded as you raise more money so set your goal high and keep sending out emails telling people what you are doing and how great Wakeman is and as more donations come in you are earning more prizes!     

So start training by talking long walks outside in the cold and luke warm showers!
